The color or colors in your bathroom may be making it seem smaller than it really is. Darker colors on your walls can bring the walls in closer. So, if you have painted the walls a darker color, get ready to clear out your bathroom for a brighter, cleaner, more space creating, paint color. White. Yes. White really can be your best friend in situations in which you need to create the illusion of more space. A soft white color on the walls and ceiling would be ideal. Ideally, your flooring could be either a nice hardwood or tile. If you choose tile, it would be best to select a neutral color, either stone or mimicking a stone coloring. Or, you could go mostly white with just a touch of blue accents, to give the feel of an oceanside spa. As long as you keep the blue accents to a minimum, with the predominant color being white, you will have created a more spacious looking bathroom.
The storage pieces, which are a must, should be white as well. White on white gives the bathroom this clean, refreshing, and more spacious feeling. It really can be stunning to see.
